May 2022

It was lovely to see old and new members for our first meeting at our new venue and welcome to Clare who joined us for the first time.

Nurse Clare Hall joined us. She confirmed clinics remain very busy. There are now five breast care nurses. Clare announced that she will be retiring this year, in November, after I believe she said 40 years plus service in nursing. You will all no doubt agree Clare’s retirement is well deserved. Clare confirmed that the new breast care nurses will continue to join us at our meetings. We are grateful for the input they provide and for answering questions that members have.

The Group decided that it would be good to have a social over the summer. The Christmas get together was lovely. Val confirmed the Group has enough in the coffers to pay for members to have a meal. It was agreed that we would see if we could book the Cherry House in Werrington for our August meeting on the 4 August 2022. Could you let me know as soon as you can if you would like to come to the meal. It will be at 7.00 pm. You can email or call me.

I have set up a PBCSG WhatsApp group. If any members would like to join please let me know and I will add you.  I thought this would be a good way of communicating and keeping in touch with members.

Our June meeting has changed date and been postponed to 9th June 2022 not on the 2nd because of the Jubilee celebrations.
