The Trust’s Cancer Wellbeing Service offers people living with, and beyond, cancer the opportunity to access new services and attend drop-in sessions at the Robert Horrell Macmillan Centre, situated near to the Oncology Department at PCH.
People no longer need to be formally referred to the centre, instead they can access the services directly and take advantage of special drop-in sessions running every weekday. Services at the centre are now available to families and carers of cancer sufferers, too. Staff are asked to spread the word to patients who have, or have had, cancer who might benefit from the new services on offer. These services include a range of different courses on all aspects of getting life back on track when you are effected by cancer, as well as one-to-one sessions.
The drop-in sessions will initially run from 9am to noon on Mondays and Fridays and 9am to 4pm on Tuesdays to Thursdays.
For more information, call the centre on extension 8570.
