Wills:
At our September meeting Sarah Mcilhagga, senior solicitor from Buckles Solicitors, was our guest speaker. Sarah gave a very interesting and informative talk on the following topics: Making a Will; What happens if someone dies without a Will, Trust Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney both for Finances and Health & Welfare; and Care Home Fees. There were lots of things to think about and plenty of questions on the night. She handed out very good Guides covering the topics she spoke about, hard copies are available, please ask for one.
August Picnic:
A lovely time was had by all at the August picnic orgainsed by the Stamford and Rutland Cancer Support Group. It was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon and the sun shone! Thanks Joan for a super event.
December Xmas Party:
Thursday 4th December is our Group Xmas Meal.
The venue this year is The Black Horse at Elton, Peterborough.\The Xmas set menu is here to view. There is also an a la carte menu for those who don’t want the set menu (to follow). Copies of the menu will be handed out at the October and November meetings. Pricing is £29.95 for 2 courses and £39.95 for 3 courses. The Group will contribute £15.00 per person towards the food. The Pub requires a £10 booking fee per person which is non- refundable.
